Snappet is looking for a Product Owner. Will you join our team?

Improve the learning results of children: that’s what we do at Snappet. We develop smart software that enables teachers and children to get the best results. Our software is used in more than 3000 schools across The Netherlands, Germany, France, Italy, USA and Spain and used by more than 300.000 students. As a Product Owner at Snappet you and your team deliver valuable products and features that improve learning results.

You have experience and take pleasure in the development of complex technical products that do not always have a UI. You understand the wishes of the users and of the market. Also, you are the link between stakeholders and the Snappet scrum team. You can explain to the team exactly which user stories should be developed in the next sprints.


In your role as Product Owner, you work with your team and stakeholders to deliver valuable features, optimizing plans so that functionality and MVPs can be brought to classrooms as early as possible, and taking real ownership of the functionality of your team's product and continuously improving on that where possible. You collaborate with stakeholders on your roadmap, discussing how the needs fit within the current backlog and deciding on the best prioritization for your upcoming sprints. Together with your development team, you’ll write feasible user stories and draw up clear acceptance criteria. During development you work on daily basis with your team and if needed your stakeholders to ensure the perfect fit. You investigate whether the first results of use are in line with expectations and change accordingly. You carefully plan rollout to our real users and of finally take part in celebrating an important innovation successfully delivered! 


Other responsibilities as Product Owner

  •  You connect with the team, the stakeholders and with the organization.
  •  You are the owner of the product backlog and it’s clear for everyone what the team is working on.
  •  You work closely with the scrum master and the development team, you are available for answering questions and giving feedback on the work being done.
  •  You identify the underlying need – the question behind the question – of feature requests and convert it into a user story with clear acceptance criteria.
  •  You take care of the release and proper functioning of the product for the customers.
  •  You understand how the product works and you investigate the customer’s experience of the product.
  •  You see the importance of improvements to the technical architecture and you can weigh that against functional improvements and explain it to stakeholders.


Vereisten

We ask:

  •  Experience as Product Owner and you like to be the link between stakeholders and the development team.
  •  You are able to communicate with different stakeholders.
  •  Strong planning and roadmap management skills
  •  Experience with product development in an agile environment, where scrum is the used framework.
  •  Speaks and writes English fluently.
