Functieomschrijving

Snappet is looking for a new Agile Team Coach. Will you join our team?

Help improve the learning results of children: that’s what we do at Snappet. We develop smart software that enables teachers and children to get the best results. Daily our software is used in over 3000 schools across Europe and the USA and is used by more than 300.000 students. We strive to deliver continuous improvement of our products to support all these schools and students.

As Agile Team Coach, you will become a part of the Agility team at Snappet in taking the next steps into making Snappet a self-organizing and learning organization. Together, you will be responsible for creating the safe and healthy environment in which the employees of the engineering department can excel and thrive in what they do best.

Each of our Engineering Teams consists of 5 to 8 team members, developing and innovating their own areas of our platform. You will be supporting the team to improve and learn to become high performing. At the same time, you will be working on broader improvements within the Agile Guild, collaborating with others across the Engineering department.

You will be part of the exciting Engineering Department that actively strives to live up to its values: Purposefulness, Excellence, Commitment, Collaboration, and Playfulness.

A day in the life of an Agile Team Coach at Snappet

It is 9:30 in the morning and after finishing your Daily Scrum (remote, or in person), you call one of the other Agile Team Coaches to prepare a facilitation format for their upcoming team kick-off. Together you also check the data of our team health scans to see if our latest feedback experiments have shown an effect on the results. A quick call with the Engineering Manager creates alignment with your vision for your team in terms of a new recruitee you're considering.

It’s lunch time! Your other team decided to meet at the office today. It is a lovely day to go for a walk in Utrecht and have lunch together. It helps that we can interact with each other on a more personal level and a walk in beautiful Utrecht has an energising effect for the rest of the day.

After lunch we have the bi-weekly Agility/Management Alignment. At this meeting, we as Agile Team Coaches collaborate with Engineering leadership to solve department-wide impediments. It is a stimulating meeting, and it creates a feeling of autonomy to get things done for our teams.

Time to get some coffee and jump on a call with your team's Product Owner, with whom you work closely to create effective flow and focus for the team. After your session, you start planning the next Engineering Leads Growth Session, which we facilitate together.

Before signing off for the day, you and the Lead: Agile catch up. Because you've both had lots of meetings today, you decide to do it at the ping pong table, beating her means you switch places on the highly exciting department wide Ping Pong Challenge Ladder, and you’re one step closer to being Ping Pong Ruler of the world!
